Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping the future of information seeking, discovery, and curation. While AI may claim to make these practices easier, several scholars have been raising essential questions about the nature of this technology and its implications for racial justice, political polarization, and privacy in the information ecosystem.
Please join us in Spring 2021 for the AI Infodemic Reading Group, where will we survey several readings and other media over the course of the semester related to the topic of AI and information systems, data, curation, classification, and discovery.
The program will begin on February 9, 2021 at 4:00PM CT via Zoom with our first group discussion of the semester. Zoom information will be shared closer to the program start date.
