Effective faculty reviews are more than an administrative responsibility—they are one of the most powerful tools academic leaders have to develop faculty, build trust, and cultivate a healthy department culture. Drawing on decades of experience overseeing faculty affairs and reviewing thousands of promotion, tenure, and performance evaluations, Theodore (Terry) Curry will share practical strategies for conducting fair, meaningful, and developmental reviews that strengthen leadership, support faculty success, and enhance departmental excellence. Terry is the former Associate Provost and Associate Vice President for Academic Human Resources at Michigan State University.

Theodore H. "Terry" Curry II is Associate Provost and Associate Vice President Emeritus and Professor Emeritus in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University. Throughout his distinguished career at Michigan State, he held numerous leadership positions, including Associate Provost and Associate Vice President for Academic Human Resources, where he provided leadership for faculty human resources, academic policies, and the university's promotion and tenure process.

A member of the Michigan State faculty for more than four decades, Professor Curry also served as Director of the School of Labor and Industrial Relations (now the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations). His career has been marked by a deep commitment to higher education leadership, faculty development, human resources, and organizational excellence. Now retired, he continues to share his extensive knowledge and experience through speaking engagements and professional service.
