KATHLEEN MCNERNEY is the co-author of the groundbreaking work, Double Minorities of Spain: A Bio-Bibliographic Guide to Women Writers of the Catalan, Galician, and Basque Countries (MLA, 1995), and widely published critic and award-winning translator to English of numerous stories and poems and four novels. Silent Souls and Other Stories/Animes mudes i altres contes, McNerney’s curated and translated anthology of Caterina Albert’s short works, is the first Catalan work to be published in the MLA Texts and Translations series (2018).
