You are invited to attend the Campus/Community Conference Cultivating Hope in Anxious Times/An Interfaith Exploration which will be held on November 7 – 10, 2019. There is no conference fee. All conference details may be found online at: go.illinois.edu/CultivatingHope. Conference events will take place at university and community venues in Champaign-Urbana.
This exploration is being developed by people of varied religious and academic perspectives coming together to strengthen our community and university through building relationships, growing understanding, discovering common ground, appreciating difference, and promoting collaboration in seeking solutions to major problems of our time. We recognize that faith communities and academic institutions, especially in collaboration, are uniquely positioned to confront these challenges of the 21st century. We plan to use this conference as a springboard to a yearlong effort to engage students, university faculty and staff and community members in strengthening our community and university.
