Session Overview: This session will start with an overview of the Illinois Student Code on Academic Integrity, how to determine whether an academic integrity infraction has occurred, and the process to file an allegation. The session will also explore how best to use existing Student Code policies to address unauthorized uses of AI. The last part of the session will be small-group discussion of several case studies, so participants should come to the session prepared to interact.

Target Audience: This session is targeted at faculty and instructional staff who are "newer" to LAS, within your first few years of teaching here. A focus will be given on introducing policies and processes that experienced faculty will already be familiar with.

Presenters:
Bob Steltman, Executive Assistant Dean, LAS Student Academic Affairs Office
Cassandra Rosado, Dean's Fellow, LAS Educational Excellence

The session will be offered twice in different formats:

  1. Thursday, October 22, 2026; 12:30 - 1:50pm; LH 3057
  2. Wednesday, November 4, 2026; 3:00 - 4:20pm; Zoom
