Yinchun (Ray) Rui, Senior Merchant at Sam’s Club and a U. of I. alum, brings more than five years of leadership experience working with Sam’s Club across the U.S. and China markets.
In his role, Yinchun has driven category growth and enhanced member value by leading merchandising strategies across a wide range of categories, including beer, laundry and home care, optical, and fresh fruit. His global experience has given him a deep understanding of member needs, supplier relationships, and operational excellence, driving his passion for delivering quality, innovation, and efficiency through data-informed decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
Yinchun double majored in Mathematics and Economics, earning his bachelor’s degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020.
