We cordially invite our alumni and friends to join us for a virtual event to hear from new department head Cathy Murphy and immediate past head Martin Gruebele.
Professor Murphy is the first woman to lead the department in its 150-year history, and this leadership transition has taken place during a uniquely challenging time. Professors Murphy and Gruebele would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the past few years and share about the department’s efforts to effectively navigate a rapidly-changing present while looking to the opportunities of the future.
