"Face and Myth: Some Soviet Theories of the Portrait," Samuel Johnson, Associate Professor, Syracuse University. Monday, March 3, 5:30 pm, Art & Design 316. This talk outlines an episode in what Soviet writers of the 1920s called the “post-portrait period” of contemporary art.
