Please join us for the next session of the 2025-26 Community Engaged Research Series, Creating Your Community-Centered Dissemination Plan, on Tuesday, March 10, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Illini Union, Illini Room B.

Sarah Gollust, a professor of public health at the University of Minnesota and co-author of the Community-Centered Dissemination Toolkit, will lead the hands-on workshop. Participants will develop research dissemination plans for their own community-engaged research projects, focusing on sharing findings with stakeholders, communities, and partners directly rather than through academic publications. Drawing from the principles and practices outlined in the toolkit, attendees will leave with actionable approaches to communicating findings in ways that are responsive, accessible, and meaningful to the communities they serve.

We encourage academic faculty, staff, and postdoctoral researchers and community partners to attend the workshop (or any portion of the workshop) to participate in this collaborative development process. Please note that this workshop is not open to students.

8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Registration and networking breakfast
9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Hands-on workshop for research teams and partners

Research has the best chance of having a lasting impact when researchers engage in a proactive, community-engaged plan for how they want to communicate their results.  Whether you are new to community-engaged research or looking to share existing research findings, this session offers valuable perspectives, tips, and space for research teams to create an equitable and impactful dissemination plan for their own projects.

Please register by Friday, Feb. 27.
