Latine Heritage Month

The presentation highlights my experiences as a Puerto Rican and chemistry graduate in chemistry at Illinois. It combines my experiences and views as a former Community College Associate Professor of Chemistry and Dean of Math, Science, and Health Professions with the experiences shared by other low-income and URM students through my research studies. It hopes to highlight the systemic issues and personal obstacles that we encounter in higher education while aiming to showcase strategies and support systems that can promote success.
