Future's So Bright 5K

Join Campus Recreation for the annual Future's So Bright 5K, a fun-filled evening race that lights up the U. of I. campus! Starting at 7 p.m., participants will hit the course decked out in bright race shirts, glow-in-the-dark gear, and plenty of Illini spirit as we illuminate the night together.

Whether you're chasing a personal record, jogging with friends, or enjoying a leisurely walk, this timed 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels. The atmosphere is casual, energetic, and family-friendly, making it the perfect event for seasoned athletes and first-time participants alike.

Best of all, your participation supports a great cause. A portion of race proceeds benefits the Active Illini Day Camp Scholarship Fund, helping provide camp opportunities for children who may not otherwise have access to enriching summer experiences.
