In this book talk, Professor Atinuke Adediran will present her new book "Disclosureland: How Corporate Words Constrain Racial Progress" (Cambridge University Press).

About the Book
Corporations shape how society understands opportunity, and accountability, not only through their actions but through their words. Disclosureland explores how corporate public statements about demographics, shared value, programs, and policies, influence real social progress.

Drawing from social science research and legal analysis, Professor Adediran uncovers the power structures and institutional practices that determine how companies respond to calls for change. The book reveals how business, law, and society intersect to create systems that can either advance or restrain genuine progress.

Critical, insightful, and forward-thinking, Disclosureland challenges readers to look beyond public rhetoric to understand how corporate narratives shape our collective pursuit of fairness, equity, and shared responsibility.
