Spend 10 weeks next summer conducting research in the local community! The Community-Academic Scholars program empowers passionate undergraduates to work with an academic mentor and community partner on a research project designed to benefit members served by the partner organization. Receive a $4,500 stipend and training, interact with undergraduate research peers, and present your research to the community. All majors are encouraged to apply; no prior research experience is necessary.
Please join the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (IHSI) for an information session Nov. 19 from 5 to 6 p.m. on Zoom to learn about the following:
- Program overview and application process
- Examples of past projects
- How scholars are matched with research projects
- Experiences from past program participants
There will also be a Q&A session with program leaders to answer any questions you may have. Please register even if you can not attend the live session so that you receive a link to the recording and are notified when the application period opens.
