The Career Exploration Group provides a collaborative environment for graduate students and postdocs from all fields who want to learn more about career options. Participants will work with a career advisor to help them identify and evaluate career paths that fit their skills, interests, and values. The group is a unique opportunity to share and learn about exploring careers through discussion and open dialogue with peers.
Participants commit to meeting three times over three weeks. Career Exploration Group will meet from 3:30 - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 17; Thursday, June 24; and Thursday, July 1. Registration is required. Meetings will be in person at the Graduate College.
Please note that this is not a job search group. We will not be workshopping application documents or discussing in detail the process of searching for a job. Students ready to apply may benefit more from scheduling an individual advising appointment at grad.illinois.edu/careers/advising
