The Intellectual Property and Technology Law Program is proud to feature Theodore Boone, Of Counsel at Dentons (Budapest). Mr. Boone will present The Von Neumann Paradox: Separating The Lions From The Lambs Under The EU’s New AI Act. The talk will consider the European Union’s new AI Act and whether it has the potential to be the gold standard for the regulation of AI. This discussion will examine the EU’s risk-based approach to the regulation of AI and in particular the EU’s effort to balance the protection of core EU values, such as fairness, accountability and the protection of privacy, with the goal of fostering of innovation and economic development.
