Interns from all across Research Park are invited to donate clothing to Strides Shelter and make cards for Carle Hospital patients and staff. This is a great opportunity to spend time with fellow interns and give back to the greater Champaign-Urbana community.
About Strides: Strides is a low-barrier emergency shelter and resource center for adults experiencing homelessness. Their program strives to reach a population of community members who are often seen but overlooked. At this event, we will be accepting donations of any size of clothing.
About Carle: Carle Health provides highly accessible, high-quality care and service to improve health in communities throughout central Illinois and beyond. At this event, we will be making cards to encourage patients and employees at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
This is an intern-only event. Snacks will be provided. You can come at any point during the event; you do not have to stay the whole time.
