Join us in room 106 of the Main Library on Monday, 4/15 from 2-4 pm for a FREE embroidery workshop! Bring an item of clothing with you in need of repair or decoration to learn basic mending and embroidery techniques to sustainably refresh and revamp your wardrobe. Attendees will learn 6 decorative embroidery stiches as well as basic mending techniques. Embroidery supplies and snacks provided. Beginners welcome! About the Instructors
Winter Murray: Winter is a graduate student in the Library and Information Science program here at the University of Illinois. She picked up crochet and embroidery as pandemic hobbies, and she enjoys making, decorating, and mending her own clothes.
Ari Wasik: Ari is a second year graduate student going into public librarianship, and has been embroidering for 3 years. She also loves crochet, yoga, and her very fat cat, Inga.
