We CU Community Engaged Scholars, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVCDEI), is pleased to invite Illinois instructors to a webinar on addressing racism and inequality in service learning. Challenging Racism in Service Learning: Integrating an Anti-Racist Approach in Your Classroom will be held on March 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Join Ross Wantland, OVCDEI, and Margarita Garcia Rojas, We CU Trainings Specialist, in an examination of how racism and social injustice can emerge in service learning classrooms. This interactive workshop will feature breakout rooms and small group brainstorming to generate ideas across disciplines. Attendees will learn how to incorporate more equitable and just teaching practices in their service-learning classrooms.

This training is open to all instructors at the University of Illinois, including graduate teaching assistants. Register on Zoom for more details.
