Please join us for a conversation with Robert Bruno about his new book. What Work Is.

Dr. Bruno is Professor of Labor & Employment Relations and Director of the Labor Education Program at the University of Illinois. What Work Is, published in January 2024 by the University of Illinois Press, merges personal experiences with research, poetry, and other diverse sources to illuminate workers’ lives in the present and envision what work could be in the future. The book draws on Dr. Bruno's three decades  as a labor educator, learning from the working experiences and perspectives of his students.

This event is free and open to the public.
