This Thursday, November 14, at 7 p.m., Illini Hillel is hosting a conversation between Avi Melamed, a former Israeli intelligence official and analyst, and Dalia Ziada, a Middle East peace activist and geopolitical analyst from Egypt. As co-speakers, Middle East experts Dalia Ziada and Avi Melamed offer a unique and compelling perspective derived from their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience on the geopolitics of the Middle East. Their insider knowledge, which genuinely covers Arab and Israeli perspectives, is invaluable to the American audience at university campuses and community gatherings, who are struggling with understanding the perplexing dynamics of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and its extending impact on the United States and the Western world.
Avi and Dalia have individually spoken at international venues for over a decade, promoting peace, educating the world about their region, and correcting the narrative about Middle East geopolitics and political ideologies. Their individual missions are robust, and their collaboration will only amplify their impact. By combining their expertise and sharing their human stories of resilience and hope, they will reach the hearts and minds of a broader audience, making their message even more impactful.
Food will be provided!
