This exhibit highlights the University Library’s video game collection as well as select scholarly titles in Game Studies. The goal of this exhibit is to bring awareness to the video game collection and demonstrate its breadth by featuring games from different eras and consoles. I have selected examples of both popular games and “hidden gems” that are well-regarded but less well-known in order to generate patron interest in the exhibit. The exhibit describes how patrons can search for and check out games in the library. The Game Studies books I have selected feature analysis on some of the games in the exhibit and discuss video games in relation to history, philosophy, and diversity.
