During this first workshop we will learn the historical development of racism with capitalism, with a specific focus on anti Black racism, develop critical vocabulary to describe racist practices, and apply our anti-racist knowledge with case studies around service learning. Registered students will receive a quick pre-survey with the community agreements on what to expect for the training. This training will be offered by our Graduate Assistant, Karla Sanabria-Véaz (she/her/ella). We hope to see you there to keep creating anti-racist solidarity. As Angela Davis tells us “in a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.”
