The question of who belongs is at the heart of the political divide in the United States and the European Union. In this interactive workshop, participants will dig into the immigration history of Germany and the U.S., media representations of immigrants, and make connections to their own stories. Together, we will develop strategies to build solidarity for immigrant and racial justice, and work towards pluralistic democracy in our community.

Please note that workshop attendance will be limited. Register to attend

Presenters: Christina Antonakos-Wallace (filmmaker and activist), Tania Mattos (community organizer), and Sonny Singh (musician and activist).

Part of the Global and Its Worlds series, cosponsored by Illinois Global Institute and Humanities Research Institute.
