Kicking off the Spring 2021 Spanish & Portuguese Graduate Organization Workshop Series is this session on Summer Jobs and Funding Opportunities for (International) Graduate Students at UIUC. Speakers include current graduate student Lucía Sánchez, and Un Yeong Park from the Career Center at UIUC.
This workshop will be useful for every kind of student on campus, but there will be a special section devoted to international students. This is because: (1) international students are the population with more limitations to work in the US once classes are over, and (2) attention to this issue was requested by the graduate student population in the department. Un Yeong Park (from The Career Center) will cover "CPT/OPT, US job search ways, and relevant resources/programs." Then Lucía Sánchez will talk about her job-hunting experience on campus during summer.
