HUMLOG Challenge: Finding Innovative Solutions for Humanitarian Logistics Problems
Registration Deadline: Oct 1 by 5 PM
The HUMLOG Challenge is a program in partnership with the Global Business School Network (GBSN) and the Hanken School of Economics Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute (HUMLOG Institute). The challenge is part of the student track of the GBSN Beyond virtual conference (Nov 9-13), and teams (3-5 students) work through checkpoints throughout the month of October to develop submissions. Open to all majors, all levels.
Theme of the Challenge:
Every community demonstrates areas of concern with regard to their medical and/or food supply chain in the wake of COVID-19 and other regional concerns. In this challenge, your task is to identify such a problem within your community and suggest an innovative solution that would help your community alleviate their medical and/or food supply chain disruptions during the current pandemic or other problem. The focus can be on any aspect of the supply chain, although teams are specifically encouraged to focus on material procurement and/or delivery. Teams are encouraged to think out of the box, engage local participants, and record local perspectives.
