While teaching a large-enrollment course face-to-face can be challenging enough, the prospect of moving that class online can seem daunting. How can instructors foster engagement and build and manage a learning community in an online course with high enrollment, sometimes hundreds of students? Fortunately, instructional designers and learning specialists have been testing and developing course design and delivery strategies to address these high enrollment challenges. This workshop will discuss several easy-to-apply strategies instructors can use to better design and deliver engaging, high quality large-enrollment courses online.
