Allerton Park has 14 formal gardens, created by Robert Allerton between 1899 and 1946. This summer, Allerton Garden Staff member, Russ, will take you on three mini virtual tours through several of these Formal Gardens at Allerton! Experience the beauty of the Gardens from the safety of your home while listening to the history behind its creation. You will not only learn about the history of the estate and the man who created it, but also information about the most iconic sculptures in the Park.
This tour will be broken into three parts so be sure to tune in for each segment on the dates below:
– Sunday, May 31: Russ will take you on a tour starting at the Adam statue in the middle of the Central Axis. Then, he will lead you through the Peony, Annual, and Bulb Gardens!
– Sunday, June 28
– Sunday, July 26
These tours are free but donations are accepted to help support the Park and public programs! Donate here.
