Illinois staff, students, and faculty are doing great things to make campus the greenest and most sustainable it can be. You are invited to participate! Our event will take place in Latzer Hall, at the University YMCA on Wright Street.

We had an amazing turnout at our first 2020 iCAP Student Input Session in November. Now, keep the conversation going by participating in our second roundtable event! The December session will focus on developing your ideas into projects, strategies, as well as actionable and measurable goals and objectives. This is your opportunity to get creative and brainstorm HOW we can implement the great ideas that have been contributed!

The iCAP, a strategic plan to achieve climate commitments made by the University, has been a part of Illinois since 2008 (with the first iCAP in 2010). Since then, it has been updated every five years. Now, the 2020 iteration aims to incorporate enhanced student and community involvement - that means YOU! The most important goal set by the iCAP is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, but goals are diverse, falling into the themes of Energy, Land & Water, Resilience, Zero Waste, Education and Transportation.
