Dell's AI/Machine Learning/Deep Learning CTO Keith Manthey will present "Scaling for AI" on Wednesday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. in room 1040. Topics included are: sizing, solutioning, tuning, and supporting Deep Learning models at scale; infrastructure for models that don't starve GPUs waiting for resources as they train.

Speaker bio: Keith Manthey is the Global CTO. In addition to running the CTO team, he specializes in Deep Learning / AI, FSI Quant Research, HPC, and Financial Services. Keith joined EMC in 2015 after 20+ years in the Financial Services industry (FSI) and in support of Governments implementing HPC and Analytics systems. Keith has held leadership positions at Equifax, Capital One, ChoicePoint, Freddie Mac, and Prudential as well as a few startups. Additionally, Keith holds seven patents around Distributed Computing, Analytics and NoSQL Databases. The latest patents are for the creation of a Intelligent Partitioned Graph Search and for a Detecting Synthetic Fraudulent Identities. Keith holds a BS from Virginia Tech in Accounting with Information Systems and a MS from The University of Georgia in MIS. Keith is a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Georgia MIS Degree and a Board Member of Anidata (a Data Science Mentoring program). Keith also holds a TS clearance with the US Government.
