Join us for our Student Success Workshop Series, a set of peer-led sessions designed to support military-connected and non-traditional students. Each workshop offers practical strategies on topics like belonging, stress management, and career readiness, giving you tools to thrive both in and out of the classroom. Led by our work study team, these sessions create a space where students learn from and support one another.

 Skills for Success: Communication Toolkit

Training Objectives:

Participants will be able to adjust their communication style to fit civilian expectations by using appropriate phrasing, tone, and etiquette. They will learn to recognize how the environment, background, and familiarity influence effective communication. Participants will also be able to build and expand professional networks through rapport and awareness of others’ skills. Finally, they will be able to write clear, polite, civilian‑appropriate emails that balance directness with friendliness.
