This virtual workshop is designed for students early in their transfer journey who want to understand how to prepare to be a strong future applicant. We’ll cover how to:

  • Use the Transfer Handbook to understand GPA and course requirements by major
  • See how we calculate your transferable GPA (and why it may differ from your current school’s)
  • Identify required and recommended courses to complete before applying
  • Understand open access majors, programs with required coursework for admission, and language other than English (LOTE) expectations
  • Use tools like Transferology to check how your courses may transfer

You’ll leave with a clear plan for using your time at your current institution to best prepare for transferring to Illinois.
