About Charmaine Sullivan:
Charmaine earned her B.S. with high honors in Engineering Physics at Grainger Engineering and an MBA in International Marketing from Xavier University. While at Illinois, she was a James Scholar and Knight of St. Patrick. She worked with the CIA twice through participation in the Co-op program and was active in Physics Society and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). With SWE, she co-chaired the first Women in Engineering conference for high school girls in the State of Illinois. She stayed active in SWE after graduation—as the link to Procter & Gamble for SWE conferences and as the Region G Representative, and she presented papers at the International Conference of Women Engineers & Scientists about work in Illinois and the U.S. to attract more girls into Engineering. She later worked with Microsoft and LEGO on a WomenBuild program to attract more women into STEM careers.
Charmaine has over 40 years of experience helping individuals and organizations to develop innovative, strategic solutions for business and personal success. She retired from Procter & Gamble after 28 years of working in all facets of the consumer products business from strategy development and upstream research to process development and manufacturing. Charmaine was the corporate expert on Women’s Care at P&G and talked with consumers in over thirty countries. She has expertise in consumer research using creative techniques to understand unarticulated needs, then applying these to product and business development. She collaborated with global teams on billion-dollar brands and has also managed intellectual property business development.
After retirement from P&G, Charmaine founded a company, WIN-ovation Works LLC, which builds on her three passion and expertise areas of Women’s Care, Innovation, and Networking. Her mission is to bring creativity to business and business to creativity. Her customized tools and proven processes build upon the principles of creativity, the power of self-understanding, team collaboration, setting clear intentions for the future, and making outcomes actionable.
