The Robert E. Brown Center for World Music and Improvisers Exchange, alongside the UIUC Iranian Cultural Association (ICA-UIUC), and Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (CSAMES), are proud to present a lecture on Improvisation in Persian Music by three-time Grammy nominee and renowned kamancheh virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor.
Kalhor is an internationally acclaimed artist who has been instrumental in popularizing Persian music in the West through his many collaborations, and is a creative force in today’s music scene.
