Arguing from Evidence

This workshop provides professional development for middle and high school science and language arts teachers related to an NSF CAREER grant. Sessions focus on science-based decision making and arguing from evidence.

Workshop participants will participate in activities designed to give middle and high school students tools to investigate bias in news sources and to learn make science-based decisions. They will consider how scientific knowledge evolves. Participants will design a unit of study to use with students in their own classrooms
