Artist, educator and global agitator Anida Yoeu Ali will present a hybrid performance/talk and visual experience on themes of transnationalism, otherness, and belonging. Coming off the energy of the astounding public press perception of her 2024 history-making solo exhibition “Hybrid Skin, Mythical Presence” at Seattle Asian Art Museum, Anida Yoeu Ali returns to her alma mater for a talk discussing the “in-between” space as a powerful space of provocation. After the lecture, dive into an interactive dialogue with the artist—an experience brought to you by the School of Social Work through their IGI Leveraging the Arts in Global Dialogue Grant. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Patricia Turner, Assistant Professor and Bill and Julie Kellner Faculty Scholar at the School of Social Work. Don’t miss this chance to connect, question, and create together! Free CEU’s and PDH’s available for licensed social workers and teachers.
