As health and human service professionals, we should understand that ethics-related misconducts are likely to happen in the practices of any well-meaning professionals. Code of ethics, particularly the core ethics principles, such as beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, autonomy, are important in the professional development agenda. This presentation will review the historical evolvement of the core ethics in the field of health and human service professionals, including legal cases, their repercussions, and applications for professional practices in 2025.
