Join Jesse McCarthy (English and African American Studies, Harvard University) and Christopher Freeburg (English) for a lunchtime book discussion. Professor McCarthy will briefly introduce his book The Blue Period: Black Writing in the Early Cold War (2024), and then Professor Freeburg will moderate a discussion. Read a synopsis of the book.
