There will be an XSEDE training webinar Tuesday, December 8 at 7:00 a.m. U.S. Central Time. The topic of the training webinar will be "AMD Training for ECSS Consultants." Registration is required to attend this webinar.
The new NSF Service Providers, Expanse and Bridges-2, are using the latest AMD EPYC Rome processors, which are new in the XSEDE-allocated ecosystem of Service Providers. We are offering in-depth training for XSEDE ECSS consultants, covering the system architecture, compilers, and optimization strategies for systems based on these advanced processors. In particular, given the memory architecture of the processors, particular attention needs to be paid to the NUMA nodes present in the architecture, as well to proper use of the compilers to generate optimal code.
