Introduction
The Office of Faculty Affairs and Development is partnering with Biomedical and Translational Sciences to provide Facilitator Training for individuals interested in teaching BiCEP (Basic Sciences integrated with Clinical Sciences, Engineering, and Professionalism).
Training Plan
To participate, you must complete the following steps:
Step 1 Virtual Training: The trainee will attend an online synchronous two-hour facilitator training session. (Multiple dates are available to choose from in the registration link).
Step 2 Observation of Facilitation: The trainee will be assigned a designated BiCEP facilitator to work with and will observe them as they facilitate for 1 week of BiCEP sessions (including debriefing with facilitator after each session).
Step 3 Monitored Practice Facilitation: The trainee will serve as a facilitator for the same group that they observed the prior week, while being monitored by the BiCEP facilitator who will also provide feedback after each session.
Step 4: Assessment: After completing steps 1-3, trainees will complete and pass a brief online assessment to obtain a Facilitator Training Certificate of Completion.
