Title: Information transmission under Markovian noise

Abstract: Given a quantum memory with a Markovian noise model, we study the maximum amount of information that can be reliably stored in memory for a given amount of time. In the language of Shannon theory, we analyze the one-shot information transmission capacities of the noise for a given amount of time. We show that, unlike the fixed time setting, in the limit of infinite time, the capacities are characterized by efficiently computable properties of the peripheral space of the noise. In addition, the infinite-time capacities are additive under tensor product. Moreover, we establish bounds on the time after which the infinite-time capacities are reached.
