"I am a social scientist in rural sustainability studies and justice. I assess the effects of rural, agricultural, and energy development projects on rural dwellers, as well as rural dwellers’ perception of development projects. 

I have worked on women’s empowerment in agricultural and rural settings, the social impacts of dams, and social dimensions affecting the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices in agriculture. 

I have nine years of research experience in rural settings in various Latin American countries including Colombia, Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador."
