Native American House

To honor Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives and to bring attention to the ongoing violence faced by Indigenous communities, the Native American House (NAH) invites the campus community to participate in an MMIR Prayer Walk from NAH to Alma Mater. 

Event Schedule | Saturday, May 2 (subject to change)

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | Check-in & T-Shirt Pick-up

Location: Native American House (1206 W. Nevada Street, Urbana)

Registered participants will receive an MMIR t-shirt to wear during the walk.

9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | MMIR Prayer Walk

Location 2 of 2: CU Community Fab Lab (1301 S Goodwin Ave, Urbana)

Upon arrival at Alma Mater, the Native American House Ambassadors will offer some brief words about those Indigenous relatives who have been murdered or continue to go missing. Following their message, a group photo will be taken at Alma Mater.

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location: CU Community Fab Lab, (1301 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana)

We have a limited number of spots available, and priority will be given to the first fifty (50) people registered for this portion of the program
