Physics - High Energy Physics Seminar

I will briefly review grand unified theories with a focus on flavor model building.  Then I'll investigate the Higgs Parity Unification model. I’ll describe how this model 1) predicts gauge coupling unification 2)  solves the strong CP problem using parity, 3) leads to a novel mechanism through which standard model flavor observables can be understood, 4) naturally accounts for the baryon asymmetry through leptogenesis, 5) predicts future discoveries at next generation experiments for proton decay, the neutron EDM, and precision SM measurements.
