Title: Log-concavity in Lie type A

Abstract: I will discuss a collection of instances of unimodal and log-concave sequences arising in connection with representations of $\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1}$. This will include (time-permitting) discussion of finite-dimensional irreducible representations, Littlewood–Richardson coefficients, (parabolic-) Verma modules, Gelfand–Tsetlin polytopes, and flow polytopes. Based on joint works with June Huh, Apoorva Khare, Jacob Matherne, and Karola Mészáros.
