Nora Hipolito is a supply chain professional who graduated from the University of Illinois’ Industrial Engineering program in 1991.
Ms. Hipolito began her career at Navistar, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of trucks and engines, as a manufacturing engineer after 4 summers of successful college internships. While at Navistar, Ms. Hipolito developed and presented a driverless material handling system to its board of directors, and continued her successes while completing her MBA part time. Her work continued as an internal consultant for the company’s locations across the country.
Ms. Hipolito’s career pivoted to financial project management at American Express, working on implementing Oracle processing equipment, Y2K work, and joint processes with teams across the country. American Express was followed by dot.com work, and other supply chain roles leading to her last job in Chicago, USG. At USG, Ms. Hipolito lead the collaborative supply chain work with The Home Depot when it was one of their top 3 shareholder initiatives.
Warner Bros. recruited Ms. Hipolito for similar work, albeit in a much different industry, moving her to Los Angeles to lead the Amazon.com physical media account. Ms. Hipolito worked hand in hand with Amazon as they built up their vendor facing systems, and ensured the success of the Warner Bros. physical media business. If you received your DVD on time with no delays from Amazon, and it was one of the 5000 plus titles in the WB catalog, Ms. Hipolito had a role in that supply chain.
Today, she leads the supply chain finance work for Dine Brands, which owns IHOP, Applebee’s, and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
Ms. Hipolito spends her spare time riding her road, gravel, and mountain bikes in her local Angeles National Forest, gardening year-round, and maintaining her cherished network of lifelong friends, including one she met freshman year in the dorms and now also lives in Los Angeles.
