Dr. Scott Bolkan is a candidate for the MIP computational neuroscience position. Dr. Bolkan obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia University, working with Drs. Joshua Gordon and Christoph Kellendonk studying the role of the thalamus in cognition and working memory. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Ilana Witten at Princeton where he pioneered novel statistical latent neuronal states involved in decision-making.
