Quantum entanglement — Einstein’s infamous “spooky action at a distance” — is essentially the quintessential quantum phenomenon. Beyond mind-bending philosophical ramifications, it has mind-boggling practical applications, from unbreakable codes and ultra-sensitive sensors to enabling a global quantum internet. In this talk, we’ll explore what entanglement is, how to create, shape, and detect it, and how we're learning to harness it for revolutionary technologies. We’ll also learn why it deeply troubled some of the greatest minds in science.
Warning: This talk may cause a radical shift in your view of reality!
