The third installment of FA 25 What Is... Seminars. Abstract below provided by Professor Marius Junge:
Last week a Noble prize went to researchers working on quantum tunneling. I would love to understand the math behind that-some day. In this talk we will consider quantum strategies for classical and quantum games and see that working with matrices can make sense of quantum advantage and spooky action at a distance. Okay, it remains a mystery to me why these math constructs are so physically relrevant, but lets find out.
Snacks, tea and coffee will be provided beforehand at 3:30 pm in Harker 300.
