An Introduction to the Foundations of Gromov-Witten Invariants (Part II): Kontsevich-Manin-Behrend construction

In this talk, I will briefly mention various types of Gromov-Witten invariants and quickly go through the naive construction of Gromov-Witten invariants. The main body of the talk is devoted to the "standard" construction of algebraic Gromov-Witten invariants due to Kontsevich, Manin, and Behrend who are inspired by the cohomological field theory in physics.
