Title: Double structures in generalized Kähler geometry
Abstract: Generalized Kähler (GK) structures were discovered in 1984 by Gates, Hull, and Roček in the study of N=(2,2) supersymmetric nonlinear sigma model. It was later realized by Gualtieri that this type of geometry can be put into the framework of generalized complex geometry initiated by Hitchin. In this talk, I will adopt the generalized complex point of view, and reveal the relation between GK geometry and double structures developed by Ehresmann, Mackenzie etc. As an application, I will show how to interpret generalized Kähler metrics as Lagrangian brane bisections and deform them via Hamiltonian flows.
